Hi, I’m Lucean —the hands, heart, and soul behind this brand.

My sandal journey began at eight years old, when I crafted my first pair. I didn’t know it then, but that moment sparked a lifelong passion for design. Over the years, I’ve drawn inspiration from around the world, always blending it with the vibrant Jamaican spirit I was raised in.

As a single mom and college student in Kingston, Jamaica, life wasn’t always easy. But those challenges pushed me forward. With encouragement from loved ones, I taught myself the art of sandal-making—mixing tutorials, local guidance, and plenty of trial and error.

In 2015, I launched Lucy Sandals JA with just two styles. Today, I handcraft more than 68 designs, each made with premium materials and plenty of love.

By April 2024, I knew it was time for a new chapter. Lucy Sandals JA became Lucean Knecole—a name that reflects my growth as a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur.

For me, this is more than a business—it’s a movement. Lucean Knecole is about celebrating individuality, empowering women, and creating sandals that let you stand tall, comfortable, and unapologetically yourself.
